Two days until we announce our new 2013-2014 WMF Scholars! For six days we will share the different stories of current WMF Scholars who are making a difference in their communities worldwide. We hope you become inspired to become an active member of your community. It is the power of a community that creates change.
Day Five: Susan Awor
Susan Awor of All Saints University, Lango in Uganda became a WMF Scholar to improve the lives of her siblings, family and community. For the start of her studies, she has always considered her success to be the success of all of those around her, “we hope to achieve the best as we join hands together”.
As a WMF Scholar, Susan provided psychosocial support through counseling services to students at the Keframa College. The majority of students attending the college are from traumatic backgrounds and her knowledge gained from her Bachelor of Development Studies enabled her to work with the students and discuss areas of frustration, sadness and hope.
We hope that Susan continues to “…hope to achieve the best as we join hands together”.
