Ann Nottingham Bids Farewell to WMF Scholars

WMF has been very fortunate to have the compassionate support of Ann Nottingham throughout multiple scholarship cycles. Ann has supported our WMF Scholars from the Bristol, Vermont office and has created powerful friendships with our students. We look forward to all of the adventures Ann’s retirement from WMF will bring! We hope to convince her to volunteer to review applications next year and continue to be a part of the WMF Scholar Family. Many thanks from all of us at WMF! In honor of Ann, we would like to share some recent messages received from WMF Scholars upon hearing about Ann’s retirement:

A letter from Ann:
Dear WMF Scholars,
I write to say a cheerful farewell as I retire from my position as Office Assistant for the Wells Mountain Foundation. I am happy because I feel you have bright and hopeful futures ahead of you, and many great things you will accomplish, and I am lucky to have known you, through our correspondence and your blog entries. It has been great working for Tom and Carol Wells, and this fantastic scholarship program. It’s been wonderful to put faces and names to people from so far away, in places I may never see. Thank you for your friendly greetings, and sharing some of the things in your life. I’ll keep an eye on the WMF news blog to see what you write and news of all the graduations that are coming up soon. Keep up the good work you are doing, and sharing your gifts with others.
Best wishes to you all for now and the future!
Ann Nottingham

Though I never meet nor worked together with Ann, but for what I hear from WMF scholars I think she was a very smart woman whom cares each one and respect accordingly, I dream to meet her one day. Congrats for wonderful job you done with WMF, let WMF have a replacement of your kind. Enjoy your retirement

    Dear Ann

I am writing this letter to let you know how much I appreciated the time you took to help the WMF scholars and non- scholars like me to change their future before your retirement.
I wish there was something I could do for you that was anywhere equal to what you did for being friendly to us. After going through several options and ideas of reviewing applications and taking part in deciding to forward suitable candidates. There is one thing I can do, though: I can pass it on through prayers. Long live and live a happy life with your family!

Thank you so much. I will always remember you and your kindheartedness.

    Sincerely,
    M. Kenneth
