Evode Ngayabo Volunteers at the University of Rwanda’s Orientation Week

At the University of Rwanda, we are now in participating in the orientation week that started September 22.

Normally, the orientation week focuses on assisting newcomers become aware of life at the University of Rwanda. These activities are conducted by various student leaders throughout university departments. I am a class representative of Medicine & Surgery students. I participated in orientation week activities where we, leaders, take the new students for university tours and explain to them where the libraries are located, the offices of high authorities, where the faculties are located, rules and regulations, and so on.

This is a very crucial activity for newcomers because it helps them to quickly become familiar with their new life at the University of Rwanda.

Throughout the week I spent 7 hours a day assisting with orientation activities.
