Catherine Nagadya, WMF Scholar of 2012 has completed a three-week volunteer mission at the Rapha Medical Centre in Gomba, Uganda. Catherine partnered with WMF Alumni Dr. Felix Kawooya in order to find a center that could host her while she completed her 100 hours of annual community service as a WMF Scholar. Catherine is pictured with a local stretcher made of reeds that is used to carry patients who are unable to walk due to their urgent medical need. Throughout her three weeks she participated in nutrition education outreach, clinical treatments, administering immunizations, HIV/AIDS testing and counseling, family planning, and home visits. She begins her final year at Mbarara University of Science and Technology this week!
