From Maureen Anyango Odour, new scholar

       With great pleasure i hope all is well at Wells Family our only family of HOPE where you must realize your dreams. Am happy to share out some of my achievement and updates for the last three months. I have been on long holidays from university from July to October, am reporting back to University for my Second year on October 8th 2012. During my holidays i was volunteering my time at a small NGO in rural called Community Volunteer Services, Tanzania (CVS). I was able to organize and facilitate four trainings on child rights and awareness creation and i was as well able to design for the organization community based training manual for child labor training at grass root which was tested and worked. On the same note i was able to participate on World Contraceptives Day by being featured on a blog where i talked about youth and contraceptive.

       I have as well been lucky to win a number of opportunities in the world, i won scholarship to attend Women Deliver 2013 at Malasya in May, i have additionally been selected by the Women Deliver to attend youth Pre – Conference and serve as Women Deliver 100 young leaders in the world in entire 2013.

       I applied Acumen Funds East Africa Fellowship and the report up to now is really encouraging, the selection process is in three stages and so far i have passed the first stage and qualified to the second stage. The second stage is telephone interview which has been scheduled for October 10th 2012.  Am working to ensure i succeed on my interview so that i join the fellowship for Acumen 2013 class am forwarding the first results to you.

       Finally am a very happy WMF scholar. African peace ambassadors Tanzania my first sponsors are very much impressed and promised to solicit funds with all means to ensure i get the remaining part of my fees and stay in the University.
